1. Pre Employment Medical Check Policy – Aim

To detail the Pre Employment Medical Check Policy at <YOUR COMPANY> to safeguard itself and any potential employee.

2. Pre Employment Medical Check Policy – Objectives

To ensure potential employees are physically fit and capable of performing the work based on the position which they have applied for, and to help guard against work related injuries and illnesses occurring subsequent to the candidate’s employment at <YOUR COMPANY>.

3. Pre Employment Medical Check Policy – Scope

This Pre Employment Medical Check Policy applies to management, employees and contractors within <YOUR COMPANY> and requires the full cooperation and assistance of all employees.

4. Pre Employment Medical Check Policy – Procedure

<YOUR COMPANY> reserves the right to have potential employee to undertake a pre-employment medical check to determine fitness for work.
Offers of employment will be subject to satisfactory completion of a pre-employment medical check where required.
The pre-employment medical examination will be conducted by a registered medical practitioner of the candidate’s choice, or one recommended by <YOUR COMPANY>.
<YOUR COMPANY> will take into account the duties involved and the occupational hazards of the position applied for when determining the requirement to undertake a medical examination as a condition of employment.
A successful applicant who is required to undergo a pre-employment medical examination may not commence work with <YOUR COMPANY> until the applicant has received confirmation with <YOUR COMPANY> that he or she is fit for work.
